Greater Manchester is located in
North West England. It has a population
of around 2.7 million million and is spread across a total of 493 square miles,
centred around Manchester’s
central business district. Greater Manchester is
approximately 200 miles from London.
Greater Manchester is a vibrant metropolitan area and Manchester itself holds
renounded annual events including a Christmas Market and the New Year’s Eve
Manchester is also famous for its sports teams
and events. The metropolitan area is home to two successful Premier League
football clubs: Manchester United and Manchester City.
In addition to football Manchester
holds a variety of sporting events including the WTF World Grand Prix. A major
public as well as proffesional event, the Bupa Great Manchester run takes place
annually where approximately 40,000 runners take on the 10km course.
